HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) – A new business that is hoping to hire dozens in the technology industry has opened its doors in Huntington.

Core 10 hosted an open house at its office in the 1100 block of Third Avenue.

Currently, it has 30 employees and in the next few months is hoping to hire 30 more tech positions. The business helps companies build software in financial services and technology.

"It’s fantastic. I mean it’s really the realization of a dream. We've seen the tech market continue to expand all over the country but the jobs tend to hang out in large urban areas and therefore the technical talent has to leave more rural areas,” Core 10 CEO and co-founder, Jeff Martin said.

The group hopes to form a long-term relationship with nearby Marshall University and has already employed three Marshall graduates.
