HUNTINGTON — Core10 President and Co-Founder, Lee Farabaugh, joined Marshall University this month to celebrate “Rising,” a theme that pays tribute to the community’s resilience after the 1970 Marshall University airplane crash.
TEDx’s defining principle is “ideas worth sharing,” and those in the audience (or tuning in virtually) at Marshall were treated to an evening of motivating and thoughtful ideas from eight speakers on a variety of topics.
Using Core10’s successful Hereshore® business model as an example, Lee spoke about the importance of perseverance and collaboration to build a business and economic development model in which everyone involved wins. In a world where big companies often move into smaller areas, take what they need, and leave, Lee challenges business owners to follow the Hereshore model and build stronger communities in the places people call home. In other words, be the rising tide that lifts all boats.
