Core10 Co-Founder Shares Her Experience as a Female Entrepreneur | Core10

HUNTINGTON- On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, our Co-Founder and President, Lee Farabaugh, participated in a fireside chat as part of Marshall University’s Women Entrepreneurship Week (WEW). Paying homage to Core10’s mission, the fireside chat was entitled, “Unleashing Untapped Potential”. 

Women Entrepreneurship Week is a weeklong celebration of female entrepreneurs and co-founders. Women Entrepreneurship Week started at Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey in 2014. This movement has now grown into an international, national and statewide celebration. This was Marshall University’s third year of celebrating Women Entrepreneurship Week. 

Lee’s fireside chat kicked off Marshall University’s WEW2021. During her chat, Lee discussed her educational and career experiences which propelled her to launch Core10. Lee also shared the challenges but the tremendous support she has received throughout her career journey. In keeping with the theme of Women Entrepreneurship Week, Lee offered advice to students and community members who are thinking about starting their own businesses. The fireside chat wrapped up with audience Q & A and closing remarks by Marshall University Interim Provost, Dr. Avinandan Mukherjee.

The fireside chat was moderated by Kelly Leonard, Marshall University MBA student, and. Core10 Marketing Intern. Attendees included Marshall University students, faculty, and staff; Huntington community members; friends of Core10, and others. The fireside chat was hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation (iCenter), part of the Lewis College of Business.
