When the COVID-19 pandemic hit our nation, Core10 quickly responded and transitioned to work from home. Since then, we have offered the option to work remotely and pop into one of our Hereshore® centers located in Huntington, WV and Nashville, TN at our team members’ leisure. Through remote work, we have found that our team members can live and work in the place they call home. It has opened an opportunity for us to find talent in parts of the United States that we would not have been able to before.
This month, we are delighted to highlight, Danielle Addicott, a Senior Project Manager. Like many of our team members, Danielle lives hundreds of miles away from Huntington and Nashville, but still remains connected to the team through the possibilities of remote work. As a bonus, she gets to have her “fur babies” at her side during her workday. That sounds like a win-win to us!
“Danielle has done a great job managing many different projects both internally and with clients. She is extremely detailed and does not let anything fall through the cracks. She handles administration and communication with stakeholders and teams incredibly well. She is a true professional and her project management skills are a great asset for Core10.”
Tony Nigrelli, VP of Customer Experience
We are thrilled to have Danielle part of our team and the invaluable skills and talents she brings to Core10. Keep reading to learn more about Danielle!
What is your role at Core10?
I am a Senior Project Manager at Core10 working with our Services clients. The projects I manage solve a wide variety of problems/needs that we tackle with projects ranging from custom software development to integrations with Encompass.
How long have you been with Core10?
I have been at Core10 since September 2021.
How did you hear about Core10?
I learned of Core10 from a recruiting partner (Vaco), who had nothing but great things to say about the organization and the people here.
Why did you choose to work at Core10?
I enjoy working in a fast-paced environment surrounded by good people. Core10 was able to offer both. No day is the same and I’m constantly being challenged. On top of that, I know I have the support I need from the whole team.
What did you do before joining the team?
At the start of my career, I wanted to work in sports and have worked in the WNBA, MLB, and ACC. I then changed careers to be at home with my fur babies more and not work as many nights and weekends.
Where did you go to school?
Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania
What did you study?
Marketing and Sports Management
What got you interested in a career in software development?
While I don’t get my hands into the code, I love hearing how things work and being at the start of a project to brainstorm and strategize taking an idea to completion.
What is your favorite project you have worked on at Core10?
Each project comes with a unique set of challenges – I don’t think I can pick a favorite.
Tell us about your life outside of Core10… Family life? Pets? Hobbies?
When I’m not working on projects, I like to read (my goal is to read 40 books this year) and I’m currently taking golf lessons to improve my extremely poor golf game and teaching myself how to play piano. I also love to try new coffee shops, restaurants, and wine bars when I get a chance and am a big Pittsburgh sports fan - always down to watch a game! In addition to those, nothing beats a night in with my cat, Chester, and my Corgi, Duncan.
What is your favorite thing about the place you call home?
I grew up in a small town in Western Pennsylvania, and that is where I currently live. Most of my family is in the area, so I love being able to spend time with them. I have moved around a lot and have not always been nearby, so the past two years have been a refreshing change of pace. However, I’m planning to move to Nashville this fall and looking forward to exploring new areas!
