Meet Westley, an exceptional Software Developer (E3) at Core10. Through true serendipity, Westley was introduced to Core10 by a fellow team member who recognized his extraordinary talent and potential. With over two years of experience at Core10 under his belt, Westley has become an integral part of our organization, making significant contributions to our teams and leaving a lasting impact on our clients.
“Westley has been with Core10 for a couple of years and every project he goes on he becomes a "go to person" on the project. He is very detailed and thorough and clients quickly realize what an asset he is to their teams and their projects. He gets extended on every project he is on because of his great work.”
Tony Nigrelli, VP of Operations and Delivery
In this blog, we invite you to delve into Westley's journey, celebrating the remarkable impact he has made on our team and the clients we proudly serve.
I am a Software Developer(E3).
I have been with Core10 going on two and a half years.
I heard about Core10 through a fellow student from Nashville Software School who was in the same cohort as I was. Thanks, Joel!
A couple of my former classmates had worked at Core10 and after hearing about all the good things from Joel I decided to apply.
I was working my first developer job for Cushing Systems which develops police, emergency (911), and court software.
I went to school at Nashville Software School.
I studied frontend and backend web development using Javascript.
Growing up I loved puzzles and just working with computers in general. Working with software feels like working on a moving puzzle – always a rush getting that final piece where it needs to go to complete the whole picture.
My favorite project that I have worked on is my current one; helping Jack Henry with its next generation fraud prevention and detection software.
After my girlfriend moved in I can now say I have SIX dogs! Trust me, the emphasis on six is necessary – most of them are at least half German Shepard. If I am not herding the dogs, I have a garden in the backyard which is taking up a lot of my time. Currently, we have tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, corn, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries planted. Looking forward to planting okra this upcoming week and maybe a couple of grape plants!
Kindness! I’m not perfect, but I do my best to treat everyone I come across with kindness and respect. You never know how a person’s day is going and just being nice can go a long way in improving someone’s day.
I’m going to be a first-time dad in August! It’s a boy!
I live relatively close to Nashville, so if I ever need to pay a visit to the city the drive isn’t too overwhelming.
I didn’t think coming up with baby names was so difficult.
